The idea for The Activity Book came from my personal experience with my daughter, who had surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The staff was incredible, caring for her like family. During her recovery, she grew tired of TV and asked for something more engaging—coloring books and puzzles. Those simple activities sparked her imagination, helping her escape the hospital walls for a while.

Filled with gratitude for the care she received, I made a promise to give back. Now, with the help of talented friends, that promise has come to life through The Activity Book.

The Activity Book is an independent collaborative project that brings local artists together to create a high-quality printed activity book. It encourages children to explore various facets of creativity. The donations will allow us to print more books to donate to children in hospitals, elementary schools and after school programs within our community. Every contribution allows us to reach more children and provide them with the creative resources they need. We aim to spark their imagination and give them an artistic outlet where they may not otherwise have access.
